politics and stuff

I would dearly hope that the passing away of Rosa Parks will make people stop and think about where we have come from. With the slavery ships coming from Africa to their own people kidnapping them and shipping them here to the shenanigans of politicians when they get into office and disgrace us all. The slaves had no choices, they were weaker and couldn't speak the language and just didn't understand why they had been kidnapped in the first place.

Now we have family members of some of those same slaves who have gotten good educations by working toward that end, after they were freed and have opportunities which they blow them up in their own faces. Take for instance Mayor Marion Berry of Washington,D.C. After he was caught inhaling drugs on camera, the people in his city elected him for a second term.
Enter a few years later mayor Kwame Kilpatrick of Detroit, Michigan. He has been caught with his hand in the till spending hundreds and thousands of dollars from the city coffers on lavish entertainment items while laying off city policemen and firefighters. He even bought a SUV for his wifes use and tried to cover it up as a legitimate expense. Beats me as to why anyone would elect him in the first place except he looks good in his expensive suits.

Then you have George Bush who has pushed the limits of right wing conservatives down the mouths of Americans as much as he possibly can. He is in deep doo doo friends! Even while away in foreign countries the people have heard about his right wing politics. I never thought I'd be writing about this, but it makes me angry. Because of the things George Bush has done Americans are not as well liked on the foreign front as we once were. Things like not really looking out for womens rights. He says on one hand that he has more women on his payroll, well yes that is true, he does. However, they are not ones who are concerned with other womens rights, self serving, maybe.

So the real trick here is having a balanced act. If he were truly a person who as he first claimed he could get people to work together, then why doesn't he choose people of other political persuasion to hold offices in his cabinet? Maybe a Democrat for goodness sake. No I really think he wants all of the cards stacked in his favor. Like a small child who wants all of the bag of candy, so he can have all he wants, and can tell others what he wants. Sounds more like a spoiled child huh?
